Column Construction Analysis
The Kax-Andaluse (Trip to Andalusia) of November 1994 was a pilgrimage to the Great Mosque of Cordoba, since childhood my very favorite building in the world. While inside, I sketched the columns and how they might have been built, later coloring it in the hotel room. The sketch of the original building (Al-Masjid-i-Jami) was copied from a book in order to try and see if I could tell where it ended within the current state of the building. The address of the hotel appears at the lower right. 23 November 1994 = Tayya 51a7, five dozen first phase (Xrga Asyðanal).
