Asayme fi Xensley

This colored pencil sketch celebrates Asayme’s rejection of Icarus over dinner in Chicago (Xensley). Written in scarlet are lyrics from “Take It Easy” by the Eagles. The Italian at top reads “look, how she had said no”. The Italian at right says “Asayme says that she doesn’t love me while we are eating tapas”. The image is struck from memory and colored soon after it was sketched in graphite. Intentionally brilliant color was selected so as to study mixing brilliant colors to obtain rich blended color.
