A rapidly-developed aðitriça-style drawing of my fiancée Laura and I, paintbrush in her hand. The aðitriça style involves a limited palette of markers. The sketch is laid out in 4H pencil, then washed with markers. I avoided the Sharpie that normally conveys heavy black, using a fine ballpoint pen for the delineation. The style is rapid but unforgiving; my eyes appear stonefaced. The wedding date is written in lrixe at right: “Wedding of Laura and Mike, 2 October 1999 (tayya 6225)”. The Arabic commencement prayer is written at the top in red. Produced 5 May 1999 = Tayya 611b, six dozen first phase (Añikça-Eprañikçal Xrga, “Life Phase of Engagement”).
