Beach Study 1

Laura and I planned our first road trip for spring break 2000. I hoped to draw at least one drawing on the beach and used her travel photos to practice the verone-style. This drawing includes a brilliant expanse of sand and the sea oats that required avoidance of their location by peach pencil. The cumulus in the distance is lit in the Florida humidity from light reflected from the sea. The drawing helped select a limited travel palette. Produced 30 January 2000 = Tayya 6305, six dozen third phase (Añikç-Epravinal Xrga, “Househunting Life Phase”).
