j6421The St. Louis New Cathedral |
This is a summer-bound verone-style drawing of the New Cathedral in St. Louis. The image was composed on site but the temperature softened the wax in the colored pencils. The drawing was finished in the studio based on the layout and record photos taken in case of inclement weather. The focus lies on the effect of sunlight on the ornate stone façade and the corruscation of light on the tile of the dome. This is a favorite jimla. Produced 12 July 2000 = Tayya 6421, six dozen fourth phase (Añikç-Avindeloral Xrga).
