The St. Gabriel digital model endeavors to simulate the existing condition in the area of the church near the present baptistery location. Michael De Vlieger took dimensions of most major objects in the vicinity and built the digital model to scale. Specially-arranged photographs, corrected in a professional photo editor, supply textures for the digital objects so that they appear much as they would in life. The resultant model thus serves as a flexible backdrop or stage for subsequent discussions regarding the layout of the renovated space.
