Designers and Owners love pretty facilities; they attract sales and make the work profitable. Consider, however, that there are hidden parts of a building that might not be as cute but “hunt” instead, like the generator or receiving dock. Sometimes it pays to show how this side of your next project evolves over the construction schedule. It tells the audience when you have emergency power, when they might start rolling in furniture, etc. The back-of-house is perhaps one of the most important parts of the job, logistics-wise.
