9 Year Retrospective | No. 4 of 9 | Hospital Infill Expansion | October 2009.
This project lies at the dying edge of the 2009 surge, associated with the freezing credit in the wake of the real estate bubble and stock market crash of 2008. I didn’t realize it, but my clients were reeling. Many of my longest standing contacts were retiring or losing their jobs. Vinci LLC conducted this multiphase campuswide healthcare project with its longstanding client, one of the many projects undertaken with the team over the years. This project takes a look into the existing facility to see how demolition and construction impact internal circulation. Traffic channelization studies illustrate how street traffic would be affected. This is one of the widest applications of Vinci SurePlan™. I'd driven up to the interview and presented the imagery along with my client team. Here I also touched base with the joint venture client that later would produce projects A8517 and A8B70, another fave. This project stands as one of the best rendered projects conducted with friends. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a win.
