Without a convincing and rigorous portrayal of surrounding existing conditions, a full understanding of the site constraints here just is not as possible.
This mass excavation applies limited bank retention on the far side, with layback in the foreground. The implications of layback have part of a permanent retaining wall around the substation come down, necessitating underground utility relocations. The site can only be fed from the right, with limited traffic on the access road running through the bottom center of the image. The portal to the left at the end of the access road must remain accessible throughout the job.
Take a look at the left or right portions of the worksite, underground utilities that riddle the site, and site sections transversing or cutting along the axis of the site. This study shows an underground partially demolished foundation that must be removed. Click here for a general overview of the project.
