Wet infrastructure typically involves a large land area secluded from view or otherwise masked by architecture so that a community can enjoy fresh water amenities without what is seen to some as “clutter”. Context, the terrain and the existing facilities or neighboring structures, can be relevant topics for wet infrastructure proposals. Such projects can benefit from clear, convincing portrayals of general construction. Though many reviewers of wet infrastructure proposals are professional engineers and technicians, some facilities are owned by a community interested in the appearance of the project. Other projects may be complicated enough to warrant general visualization to sort out what’s planned on site. Wet infrastructure visualizations may not require the sort of detailed 4d treatments seen in other markets. Thus, the ideal 4d wet infrastructure visualization is rapidly assembled with fewer “moving parts”, focused on key relationships and facilities. Technical portrayals of water processing systems are appropriate for technical audiences and discussions. Use convincing visualization on wet infrastructure projects when projects involve existing facilities, are under scrutiny by the community, or are systemically complex.
Vinci LLC applied its Digital Worksite™ service to the wet infrastructure market first in 2008 in the Southeast, a municipal water treatment upgrade. Since then, its convincing portrayals of construction at a large water treatment facilityand a lake intake and treatment facility became visible to major players. The latter two projects came with a great deal of basis documentation that Vinci was able to efficiently process and get into the modeling stage to render construction effectively before interview. Vinci’s high definition VinTerra™ digital models of terrain, its rapid assembly of proposed major and minor improvements, and its rapid and convincing handling of contextual improvements makes for effective audience-friendly 4d visualizations. These visualizations can be used not only in bidding efforts, but in community relations as well.
