Multiphase campuswide healthcare is always an exciting prospect. Vinci LLC relishes getting the existing plant right, because this furnishes a massive predictive power for construction logistics. We can furnish views of work that study how we plan to maintain open accessible facilities, egress, how we channel traffic and help patients, visitors, doctors, and deliveries find their way through construction. Owner audiences appreciate this ability to speak to user groups and the community. Seeing the work outlined in a construction document set is one thing; seeing it in convincing virtual reality reveals quite a bit more. Oftentimes the imagery from these virtual campuses generates cogent discussion, finding smarter ways to achieve the proposed plans. Next Project→
The Nexus of Skills.
This project builds on A8517 with the same client in May 2010. The client furnished BIMs of the existing plant, which reduced development time compared to other campuswide projects (A8306, A8373, A8583, M85B5, etc.). Attention to the details of the worksite helped yield illustrative stakeholder and process vignettes. Temporary conditions (1→, 2→) are detailed as the builder had specified, working from cut sheets and using Vinci LLC's unique Directive Overlay™ service. Like other multiphase campuswide projects, this job has three main parts (vertical expansion, surgery addition, MOB); these worksites tend to interact with one another (1→, 2→) and that is always exciting. This project illustrates many of Vinci LLC's mainline practices. Working with the client representatives at this longstanding client is always a pleasure.
Project A8B70 beautifully brings together many of the illustration techniques Vinci LLC commonly deploys. These include demolition (A90A0, A9158), bank retention and pit access (A8818, A90A0, A9168, A9194), steel frame construction (A8517, A8818, A9158, A9168, A9194), satellite facility construction (A8583, A8948), traffic channelization (A9158, A9168), protected egress (A8583), and community relations vignettes (A82A4, A8517, A8583, A8818, A9158). It is one of my favorite jobs because of this.
